Daily Astro Report: Friday October 2

[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:06] You're listening to Katie, you are Durango, and this is the Astro of the Day report with Jamie, Rhiannon and Rai from Three of Cups Astrology. [00:00:14] This is Rai with your report for Friday, October 2, 2026. Howdy. Happy Friday and how do you do lovers? Today really brings us into a bit more of the frenetic side of October's energy. [00:00:26] We have four unique signatures shaking up the sky today, which ultimately just means more surface area and more opportunity for something in your chart to be activated in the wee hours of the morning. Mercury Squared Mars and as a reminder, Mercury is in Scorpio, meaning it's currently ruled by Mars. If you woke up feeling a little spicy or feisty, this dynamic aspect could point towards why, especially if you have any personal placements in Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius or Taurus. [00:00:55] In the early afternoon, the Moon moves into Cancer, which is its home sign. So we love to see this. And this also means our emotions might feel closer to the surface and easier to ruffle today if we're not doing a good job of noting, naming and respecting our needs and boundaries. [00:01:09] That Mars Mercury Square happens to be making a trine and sextile to the Moon today. And trines and sextiles are easy flowy aspects. [00:01:19] But that does not inherently mean good it it just means that things will flow and taking a minute to think before you say something could be incredibly supportive today to avoid your flow state supporting you straight into putting your foot in your mouth. [00:01:32] Along with our Moon shifting into Cancer, we also have Mercury entering into a square with retrograding Pluto putting it into what's called a T square between Mars and Pluto. While Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio, modern astrologers use Pluto for Scorpio's rulership. So no matter which way we shake the dice today, Mercury is in a crunchy aspect with and sitting under Scorpio's magnifier. Today, anything that comes up or slips out is ready to be addressed and released. But that doesn't give you a pass to be rude about it. Own your feelings, own your words, own your actions. Our final frenetic little piece of the day is Mars trining retrograding Neptune. This energy shines its flashlight on what excites you and lights you up and asks you to push pause on the mundane for just a little bit. The chores will still be there for you tomorrow, but this precious moment of divine inspiration is here to ignite something for you today. [00:02:23] This has been your daily report with three of cups Astrology tune back in tomorrow for more on what magic the stars are getting up to.
