[00:00:24] Because while all the major activations that cropped up in the sky over the last week are still very much at play, today does not bring new collective signatures. [00:00:33] That doesn't necessarily mean things won't feel crunchy and existential, but it does mean you have a day to process whatever the heck that entry into shoulder season was. [00:00:44] I personally might go hold hands with an aspen leaf about it and whisper my woes into the Mycelium network. The dirt can take it from there. I want to use this quieter day signature wise to serve up a little astrology lesson snack. And today's snack is why Knowing your birth time matters the time of day and place, for that matter that you're born determines which sign is on the horizon in the sky. And in astrology we call this the Ascendant or the rising sign. In addition to your sun sign, what most of us know as our star sign and our moon sign, our rising sign falls into a category known as the Big three or the three most influential placements in our chart. [00:01:20] Before modern and pop astrology made knowing your sun sign such a big deal, ancient astrologers actually cared more about the rising sign of a person. This is because the rising sign determines how people might perceive you, since it falls in the first house, and the first house governs the body and also the lens through which you view the world, because it determines which signs rule the other 11 houses in your birth chart as well. [00:01:40] Each house carries its own theme, so this really matters because someone who say has their Venus in their fifth house is going to experience this retrograde very differently than someone who has their Venus in their eighth house. Even if both individuals have Venus in Scorpio. This is how you can have two people born on the same exact day who experience life completely differently because rising signs shift every two hours. Even twins can be born with different rising signs if their birth is far enough apart or even if they straddle a cusp.
